The Short Dipole

The same as classical dipole except that the length is less than one tenth of the wavelength. Only the frequency, element diameter and length are required.

As the width decreases we approach that of an isotropic antenna. However if the width is 0, how can the element be excited?

There is a gradual transition between the isotropic sphere and the half wave dipole donut.(Dunkin?)
